About Melanie Davis, M.Ed.

Melanie Davis is an experienced educator who has worked in public schools, private colleges, healthcare practices, and business settings. Her vibrant speaking style and passion for her work ensure that learners remain engaged and enthused. Her attention to detail ensures that clients' goals are achieved efficiently.

A certified Professional Development Provider for the New Jersey Department of Education, Melanie is an adjunct professor of Human Sexuality at Moravian College and has taught at Marymount Manhattan College. She has conducted training for nurses and allied healthcare providers at Raritan Valley Community College. For three years, she was a PreK-12 substitute teacher.

In 2006, Melanie established Honest Exchange, LLC, a sex education consulting and resource development firm specializing in patient education and curriculum development.

Melanie is the author of Sexuality Talking Points: A guide toward thoughtful conversation between parents and children. Her articles on sexuality and relationships have appeared in Gannett Syndicate publications, and her column, The Buzz on the Birds and Bees is published on www.honestexchange.com and www.mommasaid.net. She is the first Sexuality Editor-at-Large for Garden State Woman magazine.

For excellence and leadership in her field, Melanie was named a 2007 Emerging Professional in Sexuality Education by the Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality. She is a doctoral candidate in Human Sexuality Education at Widener University, from which she also earned an M.Ed. She holds a B.A. in mass communications from California State University Hayward.
