About Melanie Davis, M.Ed.

Melanie became a trained sexuality educator in 1999, facilitating a comprehensive sex education program for adolescents. Soon after, she began helping parents talk with their children about sexuality. She now delivers workshops to community groups, medical practices, schools, businesses, religious organizations, and private gatherings. Melanie was named a 2007 Emerging Professional by the Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality.

Melanie wrote Sexuality Talking Points: A guide toward thoughtful conversation between parents and children. Her articles on sexuality and relationships have appeared in Gannett Syndicate publications, and she was quoted in the Dallas Fort Worth Star–Telegram. She is a top-ranked columnist for www.mommasaid.net, and the first Sexuality Editor-at-Large for Garden State Woman magazine.

Melanie is a doctoral candidate in Human Sexuality Education at Widener University. She holds a B.A. in mass communications and an M.Ed. in Human Sexuality Education.
